Elbow

Symptoms:

• Aching in the back of forearm
• Burning pain to the back of wrist and hand
• Burning pain to the outer side of forearm
• Difficult to straighten elbow
• Hand tightness
• Numbness and tingling in the hand
• Pain primarily at the base of thumb and some in the front of the shoulder or just below the crease in the elbow

Causes:

• Carrying a baby around
• Carrying heavy bags of groceries
• Clarinet or saxophone players
• Grasping strongly
• Holding heavy tools for hours
• Picking up growing children
• Pulling yourself up too many times
• Repetitive action of the elbow
• Working all day at the computer
